Apache Kid Wilderness, New Mexico, 2009

We attempted to traverse the Apache Kid Wilderness. This was our first experience with "lost" trails. On the second day of our trip, the trail just disappeared. We searched for hours and found one or two blazes, but no other sign that a trail had ever existed. Harold Austin and Tom Jacoby.
